Here are some common issues and the resolutions for when you can't access your server.
Typically a failure to connect returns an error that your server could be shut down and unreachable.
1. Your server is performing a regular update
At least once a month, sometimes more frequently in the case of urgent security updates, Microsoft will roll out forced updates of your server.
This can take up to half an hour to download and install. So our first suggestion is to wait 30 minutes for this process to complete. Please review the next step if your server does not return after this time.
2. Your router is restricting access by accident
One common reason we see for a sudden failure of connection is that your router is not connecting to the server for some reason.
To test this, try connecting to the server from your smartphone with WiFi switched OFF.
If you can connect via this method, then your router is blocking access, and you should restart your router to form a new connection.
If the above does not allow you to connect to your server, then please contact support who will be able to investigate further.
