The self-extracting version of the Bet Angel installation file can sometimes have some problems if a previous version of the install file is on the machine. It picks up the old install file and uses that instead of the new file. When this happens it will offer to repair the install rather than install the new version.
The zipped version will get around the above issue. However, thanks to the way Microsoft Windows handles zipped files there is some confusion surrounding how to use them. Sometimes you can run the file from the compressed folder without problems. Sometimes Windows cannot do this and you get the message 'The feature you are trying to use is on a network or resource that is not available' or similar depending upon which version of the operating system you are using.
To solve both follow these steps:
1 - Remove all temporary files. This will prevent the installer picking up a previous version.
2 - Uninstall any previous version of Bet Angel
3 - Download the zip version of the installation file to your hard disk (see here to read how to use a zip file if you are unsure)
4 - Locate and run 'setup.exe' from the folder created. Do not run the file if looking at it within the compressed zip file.
5 - Start Bet Angel.
Sometimes, it may be necessary to re-install Microsoft .NET
